depth of roman formations

Hi,<br>
a very interesting discussion of the depth of Roman formations is in Goldsworthy, A. K.: The Roman Army at War 100BC-AD200, although I don't agree with his opinion, that the Roman battle line was usually only 3 men deep.<br>
