Spear of Jesus TV Show(Spear of Destiny)
#1
Hello Caius Ambrosius here I live in Canada where last night on Cable TV Discovery channel there was a show about this spearhead. They did a test to see how old it was. It came to be around 6th to 7th century. Using comptuer graphics they broke down the spear which has many different parts. The Gold part was from the 15th century from a time when it was a holy relic on display. Underneath that is a silver part with Latin on it. It is ascribed to a Mediveal king Urich and St. Morris. This man was a Late Roman calvary officer,(280 AD) an African who led a legion, defied an Imperator and payed a price with his life.( Over his Christian faith ) In the center of the Spear is a nail used at the time of the cruixfiction of the Christ .However tests show this nail is not from that era. The nail however contains traces of an older substance that could not be identify. The spear also belonged to the first Holy Roman Empeoer Charlemange in 800 AD. This is the time according to the show its wings were added on .(The Frankish Look to it)What was intresting was when the spear was broken down to its basic part it does look like a Roman Hasta. A test was done for blood or Organics but none was found. It was too recent too have been used by Constaine the Great, which according to legend possed this spear, as well as by St. Morris. Legend has it that all the conquers from Napelon to that nasty man from Berlin tried to posses it. It was found in Germany at the end of WW2. The rest you know. An intresting tale to say the least. I am sad its not real for one reason. St. Morris sounds like a great Roman who history has sadly forgotten. The show claimed he was the prototype for the Knight of the Middle Ages. He was clearly a man of great courage and character. Cheers Caius Ambrosius/Thomas
