I can recommend a 40 pound bow tops (perhaps a 30 pounder would be perfect?) for horse archery. Grozers scythian or avar models coud be good choices perhaps? They are affordable, easy to handle on horseback (short) and fast to shoot with. Heavier bows reguire a more standing position and some "wriggling" of the body which is not possible (or anyway much more difficult) on horseback...
