Wind in Greece
#1
A very strange question, perhaps: which wind direction is, in Greece, generally associated with storm and -especially- rain?

I am asking because I always thought that bad weather was associated with northeastern wind. However, in his description of the Flood, Ovid, is explicit that it was caused by a southern wind. Unless this is normal in Greece, it may be an echo from the Near Eastern texts.
