If you use the search function you'll see several threads already devoted to tats in the ancient era.Most Roman ones were for slaves as I recall or on the back of the hand to identify troops.Most here would tell you DO NOT get one if you plan on reenacting, especially if it is a conspicuous place. I never heard of a Roman style tattoo like that of Pacific islanders,etc.That said, one of the only real regrets of my life is a tattoo.
I advise everyone- if you don't have one, don't get one.
