IMHO it does, because we are merely perpetuating a myth. We know of the identity that some of these communities of people in the Boudiccan revolt apparently projected to other communities (Iceni, Trinovanties, etc.), most of which are apparently attested by numismatic or literary sources. Let us use these! Not as easy or convenient I know, but unless we attempt to change the mindset we shall continue to condemn them all as "Celts" (whatever that means!).
Conal, I think we may have hijacked Athena's original thread here (apologies Athena :oops: ). Have a read of John Collis' book and let me know what you think. I would be happy to continue this fascinating debate via PM or e-mail if you like?
