Need some help with Latin translation
#9
Uwe,
as a taste, it seems superb!
If i can suggest something, I could see the general (Cecina, or Germanicus?) without the helmet, thought. And what about to add a aquilifer before the soldiers?
A correct text could be:
"Rapaces signa inferunt" (=the Rapaces going to war) or
"Signa inferre, Rapaces!" (=go ahead to war, Rapaces!)
Still kudos!
Vale.
---------
Fecisti patriam diversis gentibus unam;
profuit iniustis te dominante capi;
dumque offers victis proprii consortia iuris,
Urbem fecisti, quod prius orbis erat.
(Rutilius Namatianus - De Reditu Suo, I, 63-66)
