Late Roman Event at Archeon/NL, July 26-30, 2007
#16
Thank you Damiane!

Valerius, what kind of "battle"? Full contact/wooden swords? Full contact/plastic-felt swords? Soft contact/metal swords? No contact at all? Full contact/metal sharpened swords/blood everywhere Big Grin ? Others?

Valete,
TITVS/Daniele Sabatini

Hi Robert

Perhaps if we start the ball rolling now we could get the exhibition to the Netherlands next year in time for the event!

Blood everywhere sounds nice..

For felt or other blunt swords we would have to practise, maybe that's for 2008?

No, what I had in mind is just two formations facing each other, and maybe one of them in 'advancing fulcum' while being supported by a javelin/plumbata barrage, while the other formation is in 'defensive fulcum' mode.
Just to give the audience an impression, without really coming to blows.

Don't worry Graham, Wim and me are working on it, but we won't try the last concept again. Cry

The fectio and the teuxandrii also have many. Perhaps we can manage some real volleys.
