You're welcome.

Quote:Now I'm searching for someone who has IE 7 Beta installed and could test my plugins with it (I don't want to install it for various reasons). When they are tested (and a little bit "polished"), I'll post them.

Well I have IE7 on my XP partition and I fire it up occasionally to test web pages I'm working on... although it all depends which beta you're talking about ;-)

Hi Mike,
according to some web pages, IE 7 Beta 2 should already support OpenSearch. As far as I know, Beta 3 has already been released.

If you're willing to test my plugins, I'll display them for you. But I don't know how it all works on IE, so I'll have to study a little bit on the web to give you more information or instructions...

Certainly your help would be appreciated.

It only works for me when I hit the 'return' key in that box....(Version 1.5.0.6 and updated with extras today)

Hi Cristina,
I'm afraid I don't understand you. There's no "return" key in the searchbox. When you click on the small icon in the searchbox, a list with your searching options will appear. There you can choose and then search. But no "return" key.
Don't you have any extension, which modifies the searchbox?

I mean that nothing happens unless I click the helmet icon in the searchbox and hit the return key on the keyboard....!
Just clicking on the icon and return key gives me Romany Army.Com
Typing Greeks for example next to the icon, gives me the Roman Army.com Search facility with 'Greeks' in the keyword box.....
regards
Arthes

Uhmmm, Arthes, that's exactly what it's supposed to do. Alexandr's search facility patches into the Romanarmy.com search facility and activates it.

Hi,
Jasper is right. This is how it works. But it will display 0 results for the word "greeks". Try for example "montefortino", see the results and how it works.

Hi all,
I have modified the old plugin and created several new ones (all are now in the OpenSearch - *.xml format). So now the users of Firefox 2.0 and higher versions can search on following web sites:

Romanarmy.com
Roman Army Talk
Epigraphik Datenbank by Prof. M. Clauss
Livius.org
Bill Thayer's Web Site (Lacus Curtius)
De Imperatoribus Romanis
Latin-English Dictionary on Perseus

If you are interested, go to this page and follow instructions.

Enjoy
Alexandr
