Isn't that exactly what SPAM is? Sending advertisements directly to randomly selected people.

Checked it out. They seem to specialise in funiture .... So most likely you are getting just another middleman who subcontracts his work, buys from the small shops making "roman" gear and the whole cycle of copies of copies and dreadfull mistakes starts all over again. In my opinion, nothing good can come from this kind of Indian dealers .....

That may be the case,I just will never understand the logic,if you have a shop and,can make swords,helmets etc. why not make an effort to really try to get it *right*?
It's not as if there aren't reenactors who will bend over backwards to help you,just in hopes that you will

It's not strange at all. He is a SPAMMER. That's what they do. They send thousands of messages to random people in the hope that one or two will respond just like some of you here did. DON'T FEED THE SPAMMERS. It just encourages them.

I agree! He just sent me another one saying "i so sorry if you feel bad or it's bother you please forgive me heartly apologize".

I have two more saying the same thing. Don't kid yourselves; he knows exactly what he is doing. I don't appreciate spam in any form and Moi said that this joker has been banned for a week. How can he continue to solicit sales in our PMs if he is banned?

I guess I figured SPAM to be something where it's one message sent out to a large number of people at once. I never really considered that someone would take the time to send the exact same message to individuals over and over again... I mean it's obviously SPAM, but it seems like a rather time consuming strategy for SPAM.

I may be ompletely ignorant of how the forum operates, but I didn't think it was possible to send one PM to all of us at once.

Seems like he could have achieved the same purpose with better results to just start a thread in the market place, those not interested would still just ignore him, but at least he wouldn't have raised the ire in some of us for sending us unwanted solicitations...

I think that if he comes forward like some of us say, and asks questions and actually looks to develop, then he's not spam.

If he continues PM'ing people or leaves, he was spam.

EDIT: He was banned from the Forum, not the site. The Ban ends in about 9 minutes Greenwich time, so we'll see if he comes forward in a few hours when its day in India.

Firstly welcome to RAT. I think that in your joining there was a misunderstanding on both sides here.

Secondly,

Please do not take this the wrong way, and I will try and be polite. Your products at their current state, are not considered acceptable in the re-enactment community.

But that does not include possibility for improvement. You seem like a dedicated individual, so I would like to say if you spent time here, did research, and asked questions, I assure you that you could improve your products and compete in the re-enactment market successfully.

Again, I don't mean to put you down when I said your products would not be used in this particular market - its a tough sell, I can assure you of that.

Thank you for your time, and I hope you will stay and work to develop products that will sell.
