By "real" you mean "absolute" chronology?

I mean that there is more than enough evidence to conclude that the chronology that we currently use is wrong. Once this is corrected we can try and date the EIA and all the periods before this.

Even if we are to accept the new proposed dates based on the Assiros finds, the LH IIIC (and hence the destruction of the Mycenaean palaces) dates 50-70 years earlier (ca 1250-1270 BC). However, that doesn't change the nature of the EIA society dramatically.
