New Xiphos found in Koukkos, Greece

A young warrior belonging to the early hellenistic period was buried with his sword and has been recently unearthed in the course of the archaelogical excavations wich are being held in Koukkos, Greece.

Wonderful archaeological discovery, it is impressive the gold plate on the pommel with the representation of the gorgon's head.

What is even more fascinating than the find of this sword is the claim that remnants of a bow were also found. If that is true, then this would be one of the only cases where remnants of a Greek bow dating from this time period were found.
