Nice! Difficult to say of course whether it's metal or wood (but I opt for the latter).

Robert if you look at the dimentions of the horizontal beam at the base of the stool, it would be wood

I notice the wardrobes are painted at arebia fort in the officer's quarter, is there any evidence for this and is there any other colours used by the romans to paint their cabinets?
