Hi all,
I'm going to close the distribution list for Ancient Warfare III.2 Thursday (April 8th) at 10.00 Amsterdam time. From now until that time, I will enter all RATers who purchase anything at http://www.ancient-warfare.com (remember: renewals are added at the end of your sub, so you can always buy them) into a raffle from which I'll randomly select a winner tomorrow afternoon.
The winner will get a copy of Harry Sidebottom's 'Warrior of Rome - Fire in the East', which I reviewed last year for AW and loved. It's a great read and Sidebottom obviously knows his third century AD warfare. To make sure I recognize you as a RAT-member, please include your RAT username in the customer note during purchase.
Ancient Warfare issue III.2 contains:
Theme: Alexander's funeral games: The Wars of the Successors.
* Bob Bennett and Mike Roberts, 'Introduction to the theme'
* Konstantin Nossov, 'Philon of Byzantium'
* Joseph Pietrykowski, 'Armies and tactics of the Successors'
* Duncan Campbell, 'Demetrius Poliorcetes'
* Michael Park, 'The battle of Gabiene'
Features
* Raffaele D'Amato, 'A soldier from Herculaneum'
* Svenja Grosser, 'Gladiators in army camps'
* Murray Dahm, 'Vegetius' teachings'
