If you are in Pittsburg, perhaps you'd come up if we had an event in Hamilton in September?

What a magnificent piece of work !!.....Been eagerly awaiting to see the result for a long time now.....and, boy, was it worth the wait ! Well worthy of a Laus!! Smile D

edit: Been offline awhile with a crashed computer....no "+" buttons to give 'laudes/karma' ? Let me guess, taken away because one or more people couldn't keep their fingers off the "-" button?

Lining in, yoke scaled. Only some fine work on edges and the new red-dyed cords left to do.

I'll post some pictures of my wearing it to close this out. Total scale count--just short of 1300. Total time spent--a little over 126 hours. Cost? About $220 of sheet bronze, about $120 of tawed leather, same again in veg tanned leather--Call is $500 raw materials.

The yoke is now quite stiff, and so, despite the scales, the shoulder will stand up when I put it on. I stand corrected!

The design seems a little odd with nothing covering the chest- rather an important bit to protect, no? Especially if the upper back is covered, surely the front should be as well? Patroklos' armour has something there, although it's difficult to know just what (not the usual scales of the rest)- unfortunately Akhilleus is in a position that obscures his...
