I just finished my latest spolas (for the upcoming Greek Food Festival this September). I am very pleased with the comfort and fit (even though it weighs close to 20 pounds). I had a little Photoshop fun with the images to keep them from being the ordinary, boring pictures of me in my bedroom, dressed as a Greek Hoplite. Yes, those are Alexander movie prop greaves I'm wearing - they are very comfortable, but as soon as Dioskouri gets around to making my bronze greaves, I will replace them with real ones. BTW: I was asked how much a spolas like mine would cost, and I told them the price for a comparable unit would be about $3,500 (USD). Hope you all enjoy the pictures!
I was sceptical at first Henk, but it looks ok from this side!

Mike (from Dioskouri) was in town this past weekend for the three day long Dallas Greek Food Festival. This was the first year the festival had hired any "ancients" to be in attendance and I think everyone was pleased with the hoplites' presentation. This was also the public debut of the "Dendaskouri" helmet. For better close-ups of this helmet, see the new thread.
Bloody iPhone....
Anyway, great impressions!
The linothorax are fantastic!
