Preserving Hamata

I recently purchased a rather nice shirt of riveted Lorica Hamata. Would it be advisable to spray on some sort of water sealer or rust prevention spray? If so which brand.

Hi Marcus! I have used simply silicone spray when storaging ring mail. It seems to work and it also won't tarnish your cloths when wearing your hamata.

Hamata is reasenably self cleaning, store it in a bucket with dry sand and move the hamata in the bucket the sand will clear eventualy the rust.
