Ancient Arm guards

Hi, I just found these pictures on the Russian forum "Legio X" [url:3axrn5b3]http://forum.xlegio.ru/category-view.asp[/url] of some ancient arm guards

Plus, there is another recent topic of his, where he shows pictures of a helmet, found near the town of Russe (?), dating probably from the 3-2 cc. BC and probably being the only Celtic helmet from Bulgaria (his words). - http://forum.xlegio.ru/forums/thread-vi ... 382#M95382

Any though why they take it as arm guards? I would say that at least 3 of them are leg-guards/ greaves

I agree, I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. I thought one of the larger ones that has a face on it would fit over the shoulder. It that's a greave, that's very interesting as Thracian greaves follow the same pattern.

Look at this repro of Tony Feldon. It also has a face, and I know more of those has been found.

Arm guards are seen in vases and like the ones in the museum .These cant be worn on your legs.

They aligned so that you cant wear them on a leg.

This is impossible to be worn on a leg.Its for an arm.It even allows proper movement.
