Can anyone tell me which find the Gallic type is on the right please? I think the person who made the webpage has misidentified both helmets somehow :wink: However, it's a photo I don't recall.

I would almost guess it to be B model...


but I am unsure with out seeing the back

It's the Vindonissa helmet, Jim, found back in 1979 and published by Martin Hartmann:

Hartmann, M. 1982: 'Ein Helm von Typ Weisenau aus Vindonissa', Gesellschaft pro Vindonissa. Jahresbericht, 5-9

For what it's worth (and the I-G/I-I classificatory system is flawed to the point of pandimensional stupidity IMO), Hartmann reckons it's close to the F from Besançon and Sisak.
