A Mycenean Crossbow (1600 BC)?
#1
Some dude at Wikipedia wants to have identified the depiction of a crossbow on a Mycenean dagger from 1600 BC: [url:31kyhvzt]http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=History_of_crossbows&action=historysubmit&diff=344330477&oldid=342933326[/url]

However, the text below only refers to "bows" and such an early occurrence would be a total anomaly, but take a look for yourself:

Bow or crossbow?

Bow with an outstretched arm holding it, I'd say.
Greets!

Ahaha! It needs a lot of imagination and courage to call this a cross bow!

It is a bow. Get that bollocks off Wikipedia before more people read it.
