I was wondering if anyone who have made their own belt apron terminals ( plates and finals) would like to share with me how they have made them. I am making my own belt and this is my thread here - http://www.romanarmytalk.com/20-roman-re...-belt.html
I have spent a few hours looking at pictures and searching the database here. Good information of course, but not enough specific advice. I am not able to use a cast method (that I am aware of, though I do have oxygen and acetylene tanks at my disposal) so I have been trying brass plate. It's six and half a dozen to me.
I am aiming for a Flavian-era legionary in Roman Britain, so for the final terminals, finds that were found in England are appropriate. I understand there's the Wroxeter apron pendent and the Colchester.
Info on other appropriate pendent artifacts would be appreciated!
