Just curious, but where is the fortress in relation to the modern town of Masada?
Couldn't spot it on Google Earth yesterday.

Let's hope that this settles some of the "when did they use _________" arguments. Amazing stuff in that document. Thanks, sir, for the find and the contribution to our libraries.

Important not to get confused between the kibbutz in northern Israel and the fortress in the south. ;-)

I was actually looking to see if the remnants from '74 battles were visible when I saw the name on the satellite image...easily confused us oldies! ;-)
