Just a quick post to say hi. Long time re-enactor, about 17 years, mostly late dark ages, just getting into late Roman (Romano - British) period too.
Most of my mates are more into the Germanic side of things, hence the 'lonelyroman' tag!
Currently studying towards a degree in archaeology, also mad on most things historical.

Also pursuing an archaeological degree at the University of Wisconsin and got into Roman reenacting to get a more personal feel for what I am studying. Welcome aboard! Where are you located? If it's a place surrounded by actual roman archaeology sites I am so jealous. lol

Yeah I'm lucky live smack in the middle of England so there's quite a few Roman sites fairly near by, although all the best are a lot further North or South. My home town (Derby) was a roman fort + settlement, so there's a load of stuff in the local museum too. Forts long gone though!
