Who is Boudica?
#1
Hello

While he is Boudica in our days, early Boadicea it was known on a name, which is mediaeval for Tacitus description presumably, springs from his turning aside. His name appears in the different descriptions in a number form, but almost sure, that you are Boudicca originally was Boudica, which one the Celtic *bouda derives from a word, the meaning of which victory (bua*, Buaidheach, welsh buddug word). / Wikipedia/

I will be now a small one heretic. A Hun king exists according to the legend - B u d a - the his name. BUDAPEST. In the Hungarian language in that direction who is glad we say it: B O L D O G. Who won , it happy. B O U D A.

Boudica name is reasonable in Hungarian. In the Hungarian language onto the reduction the ka* - ke* or / latin ca - ce / derivational suffix we use it, but we use it for / ka - ke / increasing the kindness, especially if you are young childhood from a girl there is a word. Boudica - his name / you are a small winner small happiness/ The Hungarian language with 1 million vocabulary.

We have a town named Buda about ten miles south of Austin. No connection to the above mentioned, though, founded in the late 1800s AD.

My daughter lives there.

As far as I know, the name Boudicca is the Latinized version of whatever the British "Celts" called this queen. As Celtic languages differed, from Lusitania, to Pictland, to Iberia, to Gaul, to ... it is not really possible to know what the dialect in Britain held as the meaning. Even if the word or root word in the language of Celt era Hungary meant this or that, there's no sure way to know that the same syllables meant the same thing in Britain.

Demetrius.

The " bouda " a word means happy one in the Gaelic language. I was searching in more Indo-Germanic languages Boudica word but I did not find. Just a word with a sound which is similar to him in the Hungarian language have. BUDA.A chance yet. Breton on a language the p l u t a word means the leaders' residence. This sounds in this manner in Hungarian: p a l o t a. The same one is his meaning.
