Private collection of artefacts

Nice collection including a gladius hispaniensis, and coolus cheekpieces from nearby to Kalkriese:

He also makes repros of various items, but sadly not the bigger stuff.

That hispaniensis look more like an late roman spatha!

Mmmm, the point is too long for a late spatha, maybe this time the item is correctly classified. In any case, guard and pommel are modern attachments by the seller to 'enhance' the sword...

It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.

Well, the pommel could be a late roman one. It's very close to the Koln spatha.

To be fair, he's not a 'seller of the artefacts', he's just sharing his collection for others to see. His 'products' are just repros of some of the things he has collected, on different webpages, which he explains clearly. I'm sure he'd be open to comments on his collection, as he has shared his stuff to see far more than many others ever have.
