I have pictures of two that are square, but I also remember seeing rectangular. If you want it, I can send you a picture of an interesting Mithraic one from Bonn. The other one, I'm afraid, is not digitalised.
By 'small' you mean the size that a man could carry, right? Not 'small' as in 'smaller than the ara pacis'?

Carlton, you are right - spot on. I'm going to make a small altar, maybe from chalk or from clay. And it will be a Mithraic altar, so I'd love to see your image! :lol:
