National Geographic Trojan War filming
#1
Avete!
I promised I'd pass this along. National Geographic is filming a show about the Trojan War in the Washington DC area and is looking for actors/reenactors, preferably with some sort of Greek or neo-Classical equipment. Apparently the goal is more of a visualization of the Trojan War legends as LEGENDS, not a historical representation of Bronze Age warfare. and this will be just a brief piece at the start of the show, before the archeologists and historians start explaining what things were REALLY like.

It's all very short-notice and there is practically no budget, and I told them it was madness (and they agree!), but they are going for it anyway. If you are at all interested or just have ideas for them, contact Sarah Meyer at [email protected] , 202-862-8274. The first fellow who contacted me about this was Tim Baney, [email protected] , 202-669-6871.

Enjoy!
I wonder if you could forward this to any of your reenactor friends you think might be interested in helping out - if they can bring their own armor and props, even better!
