Is there any purpose to the 'Who is Online' section of the Index page? As I post this, it says that there are 0 members and 1 guest online and then goes on to list ten members, two of whom are Moderators. What is this for?

The list of members is OK. It's the duff information that precedes it that gets my goat.

Good joke! This clearly needs sorting.

I have another question about the 'Who is Online' section. I have noticed that sometimes I can have been online for several minutes but, when I scroll down to the bottom of the Index page, my name is not amongst those listed as being online. On other occasions, I can have been online for hardly any time at all but my name does appear. How does this come about? Does the site take a snapshot of those online at periodical intervals and then list those logged-on at that moment? I am not making a point; I am just curious.

I can't answer your questions but I find it useful for hunting down spammers!
