Well, actually they did do something like that. But instead of "printing" more paper money, they just debased their coinage. But of course it was the same result: inflation, increase in the shadow economy and shaken faith in the monetary system.

It's certainly a neat idea. If my engraving was better and I had my own press, heck, I'd consider printing reproduction money with all sorts of different designs, as well as copying historical money like for ACW and such

Ummm. I think there may be rules against that...There are ways to make SIMILAR to real paper money ok, but be careful. I doubt the the Confederate government will say much about it, but the Federal one just might. hock: :lol:
