John, for a sword i would go with AH 4211N Pompeii Gladius. For a dagger i would get AH 3264P Plain Pugio.
I think for off the shelf weapons at a good price these would be your best bet. Good luck.

Hello!
It depends of your interests (regarding century, infantry or cavalry equipment...)
Respecting gladii, I think the best are the New Mainz and the New pompeii (I own the new pompeii, is very nice and accurate except minor things) Pompeii is little later, mainz earlier.
About spathae, I cant tell you for sure.
