Les Mondes Antiques... - bisdent - 02-06-2007

Hello,

I bought in bookshop a new French review entitled Les Mondes Antiques. It is a new review of popularization of antiquity and I noted many references to Mrs Monique Jallet-Huant. She would have in particular written a book on Praetorian entitled "La garde prétorienne dans la Rome antique". Do you know de person and/or the book ? Is it interesting ?

Thanks

Thanks

But I wanted to know if you think that it's a serious and scientific book or if it's a book of popularization. I think that it's not so clear in the summary. In fact, I do not know the author at all...

Doesn't mean anything to me either. It's not very hefty (160 pages), but you can say a lot of meaningful things in that space. Maybe I'll just order it anyways.
