Late Roman Event (LRE III), August, 2008 - Robert Vermaat - 02-06-2007
Our next attempt to stage the LRE III event will be at Archeon, The Netherlands, during the month of August, 2008.
The reason for this later date is that school holidays, as in 2007, start very late this year, and force organisers to either choose a date in very early July or mid-August. A precise date has to be agreed on.

Update.
So far, we have a preliminary agreement on the date for the next event.
Nothing in stone, since Archeon is only deciding on their calendar for 2008 from November, meaning all can change if they get better offers.
If agreement can be reached about conditions, however, the next LRE will be held on:
Friday 1, Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 August 2008 at Archeon, The Netherlands.

Update, November 21.
So far, we have a verbal agreement on the dates for the next event.
The next LRE will, as indeed earlier agreed upon, be held on:
Friday 1, Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 August 2008 at Archeon, The Netherlands.
So far, that means the travel days are Thursday July 31st, and Monday August 4th.
However, participants who want to come earlier and leave later and encouraged to do so - please tell me if you do.
We also have a preliminary offer from Archeon as to the budget, which confirms my thoughts (which I've expressed to those who contacted me about that) about what we could expect. :wink:
