Iron Age Agriculture - Andrew Brozyna - 12-21-2006

In reading Miranda Green's "The Celtic World" I came across Peter Reynolds' article about Iron Age agriculture in Britain. Has anyone here been to the Butser Ancient Farm? http://www.butser.org.uk/
It's a bit far for me to visit, so I'll have to be content with reading all I can on this subject. Dr. Reynolds wrote volumes about Celtic Britian, but can anyone recommend similar works about the rest of Europe? I'd be very interested in reading texts on agriculture in pre-Roman Gaul and Germania.

Thanks,
Andrew

A few years back a TV show put a few ill equiped families to live the IronAge life for a year.

It was interesting but spoilt by the fact that there was no one realy usefull in a practical way. Too much middle class egalitarianism and not enough agriculturalism
