Sleeping in segmentata - marsvigilia - 05-30-2006

The past couple days I took naps while wearing my segmentata. Sleeping on my back the only small problem I had was that I like a thick pillow and it pushed the front of my neck into the collar a little. Releasing the front horizontal buckle solved that. I slept well.

Granted my mattress is a lot softer than the ground, but this at least was fine.

Anyone else try sleeping in steel pj's?

Last summer I was a night watch in a small fort and all through the night we had to be ready to fight - so I slept in a cuirasse (something like that). I can say, that it was no joy and soon it got so cold, that I simply took it off (I can get it on in about 10 seconds, so it wasn't a big deal).
