i kno the early republicans wor lorica hamata, and later the traditional lorica segmentata
but what about later?
did they still wear segmentata?
mostly what were there helmets like? there shields? there armour?
did they still fight as a large discpiled unit? with the pilum throwing, and gladius stbbing techinique? or were they just charging madly like barbarians?

Well Francis, you are right, but these questions have been asked before, and more than once. And frankly, you ask faster than I can answer. So indeed, if you would use the search function and read what has been answered before, that would also answer your questions.

woadwarrior, have you contacted some of the northern usa groups near you? i know ther enot in your neighborhood, but there are at least 5-10 groups from ny to canada that would lvoe for you to come out and meet them etc. maybe even join up.
