what was the roman soldier look like from 200 ad- 450 ad - Woadwarrior - 05-18-2006 i kno the early republicans wor lorica hamata, and later the traditional lorica segmentata but what about later? did they still wear segmentata? mostly what were there helmets like? there shields? there armour? did they still fight as a large discpiled unit? with the pilum throwing, and gladius stbbing techinique? or were they just charging madly like barbarians?
