German & English speakers - Praefectusclassis - 03-25-2003

The project we started last year, to translate the Ritterling Legio article into English for putting it online on RA.com has been revived. BUT, it's a 600 column piece, and that's a lot to translate. Who can read German and wants to help?
Re: German and English speakers - Flavius Promotus - 12-08-2003

My reply is a little late, but I'm a newcomer...

Yes, I'm willing to help - as long as my tests in ancient Greek (march 2004 ! the horror, the horror !!!), several seminars, my doctoral thesis and a lot of other chronophagoi let me do so.

I have an M.A. in history and English and regularly translate smaller pieces of text for my superiors.
Proofreading ist still necessary, though.

If possible, I'd like to translate the passage about III Italica as a starter. Will take some time, but in time...

Please tell me about the details.
