Quadrireme! - Spedius - 03-07-2006 Ave Jasper, Whilst looking up w+w+tarn via Google I came across this, are you interested? http://navis.terraromana.org/v/Pool/PreviewL.jpg It's a picture of a quadrireme. Enjoy. Vale M. Spedius Corbulo Re: Quadrireme! - Praefectusclassis - 03-07-2006 Why would you want to find articles by that good old man? Anyways, pretty ship, seems to be based on the drawings by Viereck, which aren't always overly dependable. They seem to have no clue of scale (judging by the size of those figures) and are perhaps not completely sure of what a 'four' entails. The rest of the site is perhaps interesting, but here at uni Java is disabled and oh boy, that whole site is java based! They were also getting into the possiblities of ancient naval warfare computer games etc. Here's another link to the same site, see if this works for you? http://navis.terraromana.org/Forum.php5 Vale M. Spedius Corbulo Re: Quadrireme! - Praefectusclassis - 03-07-2006 Same result. I'll have to try it at home. Re: Quadrireme! - Spedius - 03-08-2006 Quote:Same result. I'll have to try it at home. Ave Jasper, Did you have a look at this site? What did you think of the other ship images? Was it of any use to you? Vale M. Spedius Corbulo Re: Quadrireme! - Praefectusclassis - 03-08-2006 I did at least try to take a look at that site, but I saw a lot of 'coming soon' and the designer has gone overboard on the Java, imho. Neither are stimulating reasons to have a good hard look. Spedius Corbulo Re: Quadrireme! - Spedius - 03-09-2006 Ave Jasper, I found these images on the Civilisation games' website. Any use? Vale M. Spedius Corbulo Re: Quadrireme! - Spedius - 03-10-2006 Ave! Here's another one from the same source. Vale M. Spedius Corbulo Re: Quadrireme! - Praefectusclassis - 03-10-2006 They sure are cute pics and the side view looks nice. Not sure I could really use them, maybe for my avatar? Re: Quadrireme! - Spedius - 03-10-2006 Quote:They sure are cute pics and the side view looks nice. Ave Jasper, Please feel free to use any or all for your avatar. How about the sinking ship, wink? Vale M.
