Re: Webshots album - legion in Jordan - DAN OF BRITANNIA - 12-02-2005

Very impressive, I had no idea they existed.. the marching half-century Roman army 2 & 3 http://community.webshots.com/photo/324 ... 3983KSLJYE looks very good, helped by the impressive back-drop.

We have a muddy British field and woods as a backdrop for photos... but I'm not complaining... it's cooler in the summer.

These guys are pros. The idea started when someone wanted to re-introduce chariot-racing to Jerash (Gerasa), which' ruins are extremely popular with tourists visiting Jordan.
Unlike us who are all volunteering hobbyists, these emn were hired by the Jordanian ministry for Tourism and trained by a British veteran from a certain well-known 14th legion... (not the one dressed in blue)
