CAn someone post any pic of bows used by Greeks and their allies?
Especially Cretan bows.They were the best archers in Greece.got any pics?trying to make one.or actuall trying to commision 30.

it has about 4 courses on it. I use deer leg sinew. Eastern Red Cedar is a wood similar to Yew. I also make English longbows from it.

I tried posting last night...but had some problems..
This describes and compares the early Scythian bows found in the Xinjiang tombs which were very similar to the later.

Stephen Ralphs makes Scythian bows, some of which he was selling off cheap. I got one! You can contact him at [email protected] . I will offer him a stall at the Festival. Be warned, at least some of his bows are NOT authentically made, they are fibreglass, covered in leather. They look and shoot well, though.

isn't that the same as a hun bow or are the hun bows smaller?
