What does SAMH stand for? Can anyone join or is it an academic society?

Society of Ancient Military Historians. It's academic in nature, but I believe anyone can join. The trouble is, however, that as a society it's pretty much on its ass. The only thing it does is organize a military session at the annual American Philological Association's conference.
