Re-enactor numbers? - Tarbicus - 08-02-2005

Does anyone know how many Roman re-enactors there are out there? Or even a rough estimate? Is anyone interested in giving a figure for their group? It's something I often wonder about and a frequent question I get asked. I know numbers fluctuate, but a rough average is okay.

If anyone is interested, any chance of posting a quick reply with:

Unit name (Legion, Cohort, ....)

Location (Country: nearest town or city: State, county or province)

Period

Type/types (Legio, Aux, Cav, etc...)

Number (even 1 is okay)

It would just be interesting to see roughly how many there actually are, and where.

Cheers.

Thanks Guys,

Good of you to put the figures in. So, thus far there are 19 including Jasper and me. I don't care if I have to lie, I'm telling the curious there are thousands..... Big Grin

Cheers.

The big question is, who's buying all the Trooper helmets? Personally, I think there's AN individual who takes great pleasure in torturing them to a heap of slag, day after day. C'mon Jasper, own up...
