Lorica squamata Lamellar - LUCIUS ALFENUS AVITIANUS - 05-31-2005

SALVE

I want to ask you when is adopted the kind of squamata with interlocking row of scales like lamellar armour.

At Legio XX's website is a original one dated at III century. It is possible or adequated to show a roman soldier of III century with such armour?

Thanks.

Sure, there are some surviviving fragments from Dura, published by Simon James on his expensive book! Big Grin
