Künzing Dagger / Deepeeka - caiusbeerquitius - 05-19-2005

It seems to me, that the Deepeeka Künzing-dagger is not shaped correctly. Did anyone buy it and has some comments?
Here the pictures:

Of all the hundreds of pugio out there, surely the blade shape must match one of them! Big Grin

Ave Caius!

I just took a look at your website for Populares Videlicenses. Some very nice reconstructions, there! Am I correct in interpreting your time frame as early 3rd century, say, Severus Alexander era? And is there any way to make the images in your Galerie bigger? I click on them, but nothing seems to happen.

@ Magnus: I`m not so sure about this. The tip is on none of the Künzing blades formed like this. But maybe someone knows a piece with such a tip? I haven´found one so far...

@ FlaviusCrispus: Our webmaster is a genius Big Grin
Yes, we do early 3rd century. There will be some better pictures after Ladenburg next week, and then after Xanten. (Hopefully, at least)

So did I - great stuff! I liked your trip to the wintry hills of the Bavarian Forest, and those recepies look very tasty too..
Who made your scuta? - they look excellent!

@ Vortigern Studies:
We made them all by ourselves. Except for the "Heavy Metal", everything we have was made by us Smile

I'm impressed! :o
The shields are dished, right? And they're beautifully painted, too!
