Archaeology and History -- Method and Theory - Dan Diffendale - 04-25-2004

Since it's gone off topic in the Kalkriese thread, why not continue discussion here where it'll be on-topic? Gaius -- you said you had some answers to Ant's police question? I don't see that it's OT for the forum, just for the thread. And if decided otherwise, it can always be moved to the Off Topic forum without incident...

Threads go off-topic when a couple of conditions are met:

1) the original point of the thread is being lost in side issues
or
2) thread doesn't pertain to an aspect of the Roman army
or
3) thread is better suited to another subforum

A thread discussing archaeological method and theory is not specifically Roman or military, and so belongs in OT.

Enjoy!

Cheers
