Research of Roman road infrastructure in Crimea through living history using Roman me - Evgeny - 01-19-2024

Our club has been conducting topographic studies of the Crimea for 2 years now to find Roman supply routes from Chersonesos to Balaklava and on to the southern coast of the Crimea. Using Roman equipment and measuring devices, as well as the database of written sources we have collected on Roman norms and rules of road system construction, we have been able to both confirm and refute a number of hypotheses about a particular road and its ownership. on public roads of the Roman Empire in the Crimea
