Roman Legionaries entering Rome - anecdote? - Longovicium - 09-17-2020

I am wondering if anyone can help me track an anecdote down? I remember reading (Tacitus/Suetonius?) a description of legionaries entering Rome and how the civilians were shocked at how 'barbaric' they looked. I can't find the source now. Can anyone help? I am sure it is a well-referenced passage but for the life of me can't seem to locate it!

Tacitus Histories Book II/88?

Vitellius' entry into Rome - lots of 'barbaric' Germanic auxilliaries?

Severus entering Rome AD193 '...filling the city with a throng of motley soldiers most savage in appearance, most terrifying in speech, and most boorish in conversation.' (Loeb)
