reconstructions of daggers from 1st cen AD - Pavllvs Horativs Torqvatvs - 09-11-2018
Hi everyone. Im trying to collect most of the pugio findings with datation from a 1st.century. Problem is, that i have pictures of the finds from Koln or Nijmegen, but still, it isnt enought and if I have some photos, i dont have detail information about size of a blades, lenght etc...information, which leads to sucesfull reconstruction of such findings. Do any of you have detail information about any of roman 1.st century findings of roman daggers, also with some detail photos of it? Because most of my books dont say anything about such detail information, i need. Internet alsodidnt help me. Thank you :-)

This book comes to mind: "Pugio - Gladius brevis est", the bibliography should provide some more detailed sources as well...

I can recommend this book full of very detailed information, also if you are on Pintrest lots of images of Pvgios on there as well.

Yes, i am on Pinterest and have a lot of pictures, but problem is that i dont have dimensions of each of those daggers, thats why im asking if someone have them so we can reconstruct them according to exact dimensions

Rather than looking at 'Pugio - Gladivs Brevis Est" (the name says it all really), whose authors firmly believe that lots of pugios were cut down swords and omit quite a few pugios from their book, you might ask someone who actually knows something about pugios.
