Tinning - Marcus Mummius - 04-10-2005 Greetings, I'm sure some of you know the pulg and plate tinning set. Does someone know what kind of fluid the bottle suplied with it contains? I mean the the stuff you dip the wand into. Is it tin binitrate? Thanks for the help, Best regards, Marcus Mummius tinning - Florentius - 04-25-2005 I've just checked my tin solution, and it does not specify the chemical contents on the bottle thanks - Marcus Mummius - 04-25-2005 Thanks for looking Florentius. I am pretty sure now it is Sn(Na)2. Something else I noticed: the tin solder used in this system to tin objects contains a LOT of lead. So be careful on what you use it because it is probably poisonous. Best regards, Marcus Mummius |
