Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - texascavtrooper - 03-08-2009 Hey thanks Paul! I try doing the best I can. I know there are a few things wrong with my first attempt and belive me I've heard about them from a few other Roman reenactors!!  Bryan Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Julius Verax - 03-08-2009 Well Done Bryon . Julius . Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - M. Demetrius - 03-08-2009 That looks like the parade at Texas Ren Faire. I was in that column. Small world, eh? Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - texascavtrooper - 03-11-2009 Yes is is the Ren fair. I had alot of fun. Bryan Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - M. Demetrius - 03-11-2009 Well heck, man, wish I'd have known we were us, and I'd have bought you a glass of barbarian fermented grain product or some really old grape juice. Maybe next time? Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 03-11-2009 Looking good Bryan, great start for sure! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - QVINTVS ARTORIVS CORVINVS - 03-17-2009 Quote:Quote:The scales on the DSC shirts are 25mm x 15mm x 0.3mm. Average size. Peroni, I understand the scale dimensions... are they really 28 gauge brass? At that thin, I guess they are left flat, or are they somehow dished a bit? Also, do you have a picture of how they are fastened (guessing the little staples), and is it to a backing cloth or just to themselves? Thanks, Phillip Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - jvrjenivs - 03-17-2009 Quote:Peroni:wq4wkse4 Wrote:Quote:The scales on the DSC shirts are 25mm x 15mm x 0.3mm. Average size. You can find all these questions in his marketplace topic on the shirt: link from old RAT I've been able to wear his shirt one time. The scales are flat, connected to each neighbors by wire and each row is stitched to a fabric backing. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Peroni - 03-17-2009 The scales are slightly dished at the round end. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - QVINTVS ARTORIVS CORVINVS - 03-17-2009 Wow, I wonder how they manged to dish the tips on such thin metal without creasing or deforming??? Sorry to hijack the thread  I'll post my impression as soon as "someone who shall remain nameless" sends me some event pix  Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - jvrjenivs - 03-17-2009 Yeah, I only saw it very short. Hope to see one up close again soon Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Evgeny - 03-20-2009 ????????????? ??? Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Evgeny - 03-20-2009 Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Marcus Mummius - 03-20-2009 Did he put out that viking's eye? hock: Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - pivus - 03-20-2009 Without traumas.Has very much carried.
