The Museum label says that this helmet is dated to the second century BC, but the label could be wrong ... :?
"...Neben dem spitzen Pilos-Helm hat es eine im Fundbestand nur schwach reprasentierte Variante mit runder Kalotte gegeben, die genau wie jene seit dem 5. Jahrhundert in Darstellungen belegt ist und zuletzt auf Munzen von Antigonos Gonatas und Pyrrhos im fruhen 3. Jahrhundert erscheint.
Die Gestaltung des unteren Randes entspricht den bei den konischen Formen ublichen Moglichkeiten.
Ein Fund aus Ruvo in Apulien ist mit dem vierspeichigen Rad verziert."
